Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This policy describes how Resumely handles information when recruiters use the platform or candidates apply to public jobs.
1. Information we collect
- Account and profile details, such as name, email, and company information.
- Job descriptions, requirements, notes, interviews, and hiring-pipeline records.
- Candidate details, resumes, application answers, and screening results.
- Subscription records and transaction references from payment providers.
- Support messages and technical usage or diagnostic information.
2. How we use information
- Authenticate accounts and provide product features.
- Store jobs, applications, resumes, interviews, and recruiter notes.
- Extract resume text and generate job-match scores and summaries.
- Process subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and keep billing records.
- Respond to support requests and diagnose service errors.
- Measure website usage and product performance.
3. AI-assisted processing
When a recruiter submits a resume for screening, relevant resume text and job requirements are sent to an AI model provider to generate the requested analysis. Resumely presents that output as decision support. Recruiters are responsible for reviewing it and making employment decisions.
4. When information is shared
Resumely does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the platform, including cloud hosting and storage, authentication, AI processing, email, payments, and analytics. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a business transaction.
When a candidate applies to a public job, the application and resume are made available to the recruiter responsible for that job.
5. Security
We use access controls, authenticated account sessions, and managed infrastructure to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Account owners should protect their credentials and only upload candidate information they are authorized to process.
6. Retention and deletion
Information is retained while needed to provide the service, maintain billing and operational records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Account holders can start the documented deletion process from the product. See the account deletion guide for the current steps and important subscription details.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You can update available profile fields in the product or contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.
8. Cookies and analytics
Resumely uses essential session technologies and may use analytics providers. The Cookie Policy explains these technologies and available browser controls.
9. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to team@resumely.live.
